The Good, the Lamb and the Ugly By Abu Nûh

Not so long ago, in the mysterious land of survival of the fittest, there lived an ugly wolf hybrid known as Wolfdog. Among his peers, he was distinguished by his big head, a long tongue and a loud howl. Hence, he became the alpha male in his pack. One day, as Wolfdog was on a hilltop searching for a refill for his rumbling stomach, he saw a young lamb with fluffy wool playing in a grassy glade. Wolfdog climbed down the hill to ‘meet’ the charming little lamb, resolved not to lay violent hands on him, but to find some plea to justify to the Lamb his right to eat him. He thus addressed him: “Kid, last year you grossly insulted me.” “Indeed,” bleated the Lamb in a mournful tone of voice, “I was not then born.” Then said Wolfdog, “You feed in my pasture.” “No, good sir,” replied the Lamb, “I have not yet tasted grass.” Again said the Wolf, “You drink of my well.” “No!” Exclaimed the Lamb, “I never yet drank water, for as yet my mother’s milk is both food and drink to me.” “Well! I won’t remain supperless,” thought he. He seized him and ate him up, saying, “So it must have been your mother!” T he Mother powerlessly followed the dialogue. What could this poor mother do when she saw her beloved son being torn into pieces between the teeth of the wolf? She knew she could not reclaim her right, but in the passion of motherhood, this good mother butted Wolfdog. Of course the wolf was not affected at all. But he became very furious, his pupils dilated. He raised the base of his tail. “How dare this ewe touch me!” Thought he. He howled with a long, smooth sound, “This is a terrorist! This is a terrorist!” All other wolves howled, repeating Wolfdog’s words, creating an illusion that there were many condemning the act of the ewe. It is not strange that these howls were heard from 10 miles away, but the strange thing is how these howls echoed throughout the forest. Whereby the parrots joined in and repeated what Wolfdog said, saying, “We condemn the ewe’s butt against the wolf, all the animals are against this barbaric act!”

A more profound life. Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness or the pursuit of Jennah, life & liberty.

بسم الله الرحمان الرحيم و صلاوة و صلاوة و سلٌم علي محمد و علي آله و اصحابه و زواجه و.من.تبع الهدى الي اليوم الدين و بعد

The phrase, “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.” has been used by many writers since the founding of the United States. Unknown to most, however, i  the original phrase which is,  “life, liberty & the pursuit of wealth.”

This clearly illustrates the true goal of the American goal of the United States and it’s citizens. Therefore, in the American theme we see that happiness will ostensibly spring from the collection of material wealth.

Since the beginning of the American experiment this has been the ideological force pushing the  government in a direction distasteful to most of those who reside here.

The antithesis to this goal is the goal Islam gives humanity, that being Jennah it the Paradise of the afterlife. Hence, the  Muslim acting toward this  goal will spend his or her time spending their wealth to please Allah. They should forsake the  luxuries of life to gain the luxury of the next one.

As a prisoner in of the location of my birth place I have to say in shame that I have spent much of my time in Islam seeking the dunya. I have spent more time then necessary seeking it’s provisions seeking the fine balance that does not exist.

In the study of the seerah and biographies of the companions it is plan that Allah graces those who strive for His pleasure with a life of ease. For true comfort is in the heart only. In striving for the highest goal Allah blessed them with this dunya’s riches and when they received it they either turned away or sought to utilize it as a means to Him صبحان و تعلى.

Knowledge of this fact, of this scientificly provable equation doesn’t change us to act on it until we feel it as much as we feel the need to breathe when choked, to eat when hungry, to either fight or flee when confronted with danger.

Thus the question becomes how does one inculcate this emotional state? This question has eluded me since I first began to feel the hadith of the Prophet, صلى الله عليه و سلٌم, is reported to have said that imaan (faith but imaan is deeper then the word faith) increases and decreases.

Therefore I will now speak openly in order to express where I feel I made an error that began to weaken my resolve to act on my beliefs. This is to warn those of you, my dear readers, whose Imaan is bringing them to act on more than just the obligations of the Shariah.

In my college years the sacred month of Ramadan was in the fall. And so toward the end of the semester in the month of Ramadan I had to take a state exam. I sadly bought in to the wasassa (whispers) of shaytan. Convinced that I should break my fast so I could concentrate on the test. I never made that day up and the shaytan had his opening و اعوذ بالله من شره واستعين الله للنصر

So I supplicate to Allah to protect you all from such whispers and that He refortify our hearts that we can make the proper expiation for our mistakes, impulsive sins and sinful schemes.

How to combat the evil enveloping our existence

There has never been, since the inception of Islam, as a religion in name as well as practice, that people of insight have not stated, “This is is the last era.”
Unlike Christian perception that the end is nigh, Muslims use the verses of the Qur’an and the statements of the Prophet Muhammad
صلى الله عليه و سلّم
free of ambiguity. So, unlike the Book of Revelations, the end times statements in Islam are clear and have always been seen.
However, unlike the inevitably that is perceived by the Jewish, Christian and Muslim populations, Allah has given Muslims a method to slow the degradation and thence destruction of humanity. For in the hadith literature we are warned that the day of judgment will not fall except on the worst of mankind.
Jamiat Tirmidhi (Chapters on Righteousness And Maintaining Good Relations With Relatives – 140)

Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said “Indeed among the worst of people to Allah, on the Day of Judgment, is the two faced person.”(Sahih)
Additionally, that ominous day will not arrive until the Qur’an is not recited. And so the tools to avert our destruction are in our hands.
Have good morals, recite the Qur’an and act upon the rulings found therein.

The Multiplicity of Meaning in American Propaganda.

Since the term ‘propaganda’ was first coined by the Catholic Church (Propaganda de Fide), it has been a part of the Occidental lexicon with a pejorative connotation. It was not until after WWII when utilized by the Axis Powers did the current connotation and use of the word to describe the mechanism of the NAZI public relations apparatus that Gerbbles employed to rouse the German people do believe that the ‘Aryans’ are a blonde and blue eyed race of ‘Ubermech’ (supermen), better then all humanity…..

However, it is rare indeed to find a person, today, who can identify what is propaganda and how to ward off it’s spell. The ubiquity of modern propaganda makes most people today in able to identity it because they sit and enjoy propaganda as a for of entertainment and a source of information about the world they life in.

Although these statements are met with opposition, that is due to the simple fact that the majority of people do not take the time to analyse the producers of there entertainment or verify the veracity of statements by news outlets or there sources.

Additionly, the proof of these statments are met with opposition simply because to admit to the reality of them means to question EVERYTHING.

The most insidious means of propaganda in entertainment. As the cobra dances hypnotically to lull it’s prey to sleep, so too does entertainment. The consumer of entertainment media enters a state of suspended disbelief wherein they absorb, through osmosis, the degenerate moral compass we see so pervasive in our era.
Many individuals will say, with full conviction, “You can’t believe everything in the news.” However, these same people will relate a tale, a fictional account from a movies or television show, as if it is real.
Shows like ‘Law & Order’, ‘ER’, etc. are quoted and recounted as if the stories are real. However, in reality, one purpose for the existence of these shows is to weaken the resistance of individuals to the orders and recommendations of those who practice medicine (practice being the operative word, meaning that the science of medicine is not all encompassing of the knowledge that exists, nor is any doctor capable of knowing everything there is to know) and enforce the laws and regulations legislated by city council, Congress, and other legislative bodies.
The news media, with it’s twenty-four hour cycle is a powerful form of propaganda. Prior to the advent of the radio, all newspapers, in the United states were openly controlled by what are now called a ‘special interests’. Unions, guilds, political parties, and wealth influential individuals, controlled what was published by the papers. Eventually the control became more under handed and became less open.
However, with the advent of the radio and then the television, the abilities to manipulate public opinion became stronger as the controllers used their influence to subvert their oppositions gains by means of the news media. An excellent example is the survey or so-called research study that is presented as a unbiased work of news while in fact the source is the beneficiary of the piece.
As in the case if Oprah vs. the cattle Men’s Association. She gave, what is in reality, the facts about the consumption of excessive red meat. And for that she was punished.
In conclusion, the collusion of organizations and individuals with the media are the present day propaganda machine.

Seek forgiveness.

Al-Agharr al-Muzani, who was one amongst the Companions (of the Holy Prophet) reported that Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said:  There is (at times) some sort of shade upon my  heart, and I seek forgiveness from Allah a hundred times a day.
